I am divorced.   I have no children, just my dogs & cats. I still live in Cahokia about 2 blocks from my parents home.  I am presently working for Commonfields Water District.

I married Mary Akins. We have 2 children, Mathias, a Freshman at Webster University in St. Louis, and Martina, a junior in High School presently (Aug 2002) a Rotary Youth Exchange Student to Keuruu, Finland. We lost Mahriah Edith Jackson in 1993.   I have taught in the Cahokia School District since 1975, with a year at Freeburg and Whiteside in Belleville. I work as the Elementary and Middle School Band Director. If any of you have old instruments you'd like to donate, we could sure use them. I presently teach in every school in the district.   I wrote an 838 page book on my families genealogy: A JACKSON FAMILY HISTORY: PUTNAM COUNTY, TENNESSEE AND BEYOND.... in 1993, but have been addicted to genealogy since about the age of 8. I presently serve Cahokia as the President of the Kiwanis Club of the Cahokia Area, and would invite others interested in taking an active hand in the Cahokia community to get involved in the Alumni Association or with the Kiwanis.
