I graduated in 1970 from Eastern Illinois University majoring in Speech/Journalism/English. I taught one year at Cahokia High School. In 1971, I married Mike Sluder (P. Michael Sluder). We have lived in Washington, Illinois since 1971. We have five children...Rhonda, Anna, Paul, Kent and Todd. Our oldest is 26 and youngest 14. I am presently teaching Speech/English/Theatre at Eureka High School in Eureka, Illinois. Mike, who is also a 1967 graduate of Cahokia, has taught business and political science. Presently, he is an administrator at Washington Community High School.
