I was married to Roy Searcy the first time and we had two children, Karen Sue and Roy Dale. I have three grandchildren and one great-grandson. I was divorced for 8 years when I met Harold Bement. We were married 1-1/2 years later and have now been married 11 years.
I retired in August, 1999. I worked for Charles R. Oldham, an attorney in St. Louis for 34 years. As we are both retired, Harold and I keep very busy and are enjoying our retirement.

I have been married to George Appel for forty years. We have a daughter, Barbara, age 39, and a son, Timothy, age 35. We have 3 granddaughters, 3 grandsons and 1 great-granddaughter. I retired from Cahokia Unit School District #187 on June 30, 1997, after 33-1/2 years as a school secretary at the high school, Maplewood School, and the Board of Education Office. George also retired on June 30, 1997, from McDonnell Douglas Company before Boeing took over. We keep busy in our church, with our grandchildren, and playing golf. We spend our winters in the Rio Grande Valley (Mercedes, TX) in a retirement resort.
