I am back in Cahokia, and I am on my 9th year with the Cahokia School  District as a building secretary - mostly at Centerville School. Centerville is a minority school with a high poverty rate. Its been rewarding. Sometimes I feel the hug I give a child may be the only one he receives that day. I am married to Paul Kutheis, civil engineer in construction management. Don't see him much! He travels. We have been married nearly 20 years - have lived in Soda Springs, ID; Houston; Dayton, OH; and Iowa City, IA. Moving was great, but I wanted to be close to my family for awhile. I have served on the Boards of the Cahokia Homecoming Association, Jarrot Mansion Project, Keep Cahokia Beautiful and Cahokia Association for the Tricentennial. Kind of slowed down now, tho. There is still potential here despite current opinion. My interests include horseback riding and jumping, current events, a little politics and traveling. We have an 18-year-old daughter. I have a 26-year-old son from a previous marriage, a 26-year-old stepdaughter and 30-year-old stepson. Combined, we have three grandchildren.
